We're just three nights away from opening night and the banner raising ceremony against the Washington Capitals. We were trying to have this countdown done by opening night but with Crosby's concussion, us working on a new and improved website, and our busy schedules, our countdown may not be finished in time. Nonetheless, we bring you number four on our countdown. We jump back to Game Two of the Stanley Cup Finals.
The Penguins started off the scoring in the second period thanks to a beautiful turnover by Sharks defenseman Roman Polak (who you Penguin fans wanted at one time). Polak gifted Carl Hagelin with the puck, who then found Nick Bonino who sent a cross ice pass to Kessel. It was pretty much a tap in but the Penguins were on the board.
The game remained 1-0 in favor of the Penguins until late in the third period when Sharks defenseman Justin Braun snuck one in from the top of the right circle. Murray had no chance because of the traffic in front. Nonetheless, we were tied at 1 heading into overtime.
Just 2:35 into overtime, magic happened. Conor Sheary beat Martin Jones to put the Penguins ahead 2-0 in the series. Sheary said, "Sid told me to lineup on the outside and to find the soft spot." Letang would then attempt to get Sheary the puck. It worked, oh it most definitely worked. The Penguins were sitting pretty with a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals heading back to San Jose.

We'll try to have another post out and to finish the countdown by Thursday, but we've been spending a lot of time building the new website. We think you'll enjoy that. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and 'like' us on Facebook. We do plan on having a season preview out by tomorrow night in which we'll be answering some questions about the upcoming season, so be sure to check that out.
Sidney Crosby (concussion) did skate today for an hour and said he felt good, and it's about how he feels tomorrow.
The Penguins signed free agent goalie Mike Condon (formerly with Montreal) to back up Marc-Andre Fleury until Matt Murray is able to return.
Goaltender Tristen Jarry was assigned to Wilkes-Barre.
