The Penguins (7-2-1) took care of business last night in Anaheim, defeating the Ducks (4-5-2) by a score of 5-1 to begin their west coast road trip. Matt Murray stopped 32 shots in his season debut while goaltender John Gibson struggled again against the Penguins, letting up 5 goals on 34 shots before being relieved by Jonathan Bernier in the third.
The Penguins offense is clicking right now, scoring 17 goals in the last 4 games. Malkin and Kessel continue to impress night in and night out, while the HBR (Hagelin, Bonino, Rust) line continues to look solid. Hell, even Tom freakin' Sestito contributed to the victory last night with an amazing pass to Matt Cullen for a one-time goal. Sidney Crosby once again contributed, tallying an assist on the Hornqvist goal. In fact, let's look at all the scoring the Pens were able to do last night.
1st, 7:41 - (EV) Pittsburgh - Evgeni Malkin (6) assisted by: Phil Kessel (7) & Chris Kunitz (5)
1st, 10:24 - (EV) Pittsburgh - Matt Cullen (3) assisted by: Tom Sestito (1) & Eric Fehr (1)
1st, 15:49 - (PP) Anaheim - Cam Fowler (4) assisted by: Sami Vatanen (6) & Ryan Kesler (5)
The Cubs have won the World Series for the first time in 108 years!!!!!
Matt Murray looked very sharp in his season debut, , stopping 33 of 34 shots.
If every baseball game could be that good, baseball would actually be worth watching.
Ben Zobrist won World Series MVP, thanks to an opposite field RBI double.
He also won a Chevy Camaro, which I want.
Kris Letang looked like he hadn't lost a step either, tallying a goal and an assist.
John Gibson honestly should just never play against his hometown Penguins, he gets torched almost every game.
Grandpa Rossy, Cubs catcher David Ross, set a record last night becoming the oldest player to homer in a World Series Game 7 at (39 years, 228 days), just three days older than former Pirate Willie Stargell.
You're mad, don't lie.
Somehow they managed only a 17 minute rain delay, which if you would have seen the radar, you would have been stunned the delay was only that long.
Thanks to our sources, we do have a picture. That weather looks so sad.
Joe Maddon made some questionable managerial decisions last night, such as yanking Hendricks early and keeping Chapman in the game.
His wife is somewhat hot though, so that's cool.
Hell the Cubs could have probably beaten the Ducks too, they were very bad.
Ryan Kesler continued to show why USA Hockey is such an embarrassment.

The Penguins play the LA Kings tonight, who also happen to be almost as bad as the Ducks. Who knows, the Cubs could probably beat them too.
Honestly, this recap reflects how much we truly watched the game last night. Nothing is better than a Game Seven, ever.
It will be nice to read your takes regarding the goaltending situation, following Murray's impressive debut.
I'm anxiously awaiting some unneeded Fleury hate.
GO CUBS GOOOOOOOOOO
Video courtesy of Samboke, what a pass.
