The Penguins (7-2-2) fell to the LA Kings (5-6-0) in overtime last night at Staples Center by a score of 3-2. After not scoring for over three games (225 minutes and 25 seconds to be exact), the LA Kings managed to put home three goals on Marc-Andre Fleury, including an elite breakaway (sort of) goal in overtime by Nic Dowd.

Now you might be wondering why Nic Dowd (I don't know who the hell he is) was literally wide the hell open on that pass, and truth is I have no idea. The Penguins had just finished killing off a Matt Cullen penalty (which was BS to begin with) and play had just returned to 3 on 3. In fact, going the other way, Evgeni Malkin almost beat King's goaltender Peter Budaj to sent the Penguins home winners.
Nonetheless, it was a fairly sloppy game by the Penguins, who you could tell just came off playing a game the night before. The good news is that Sidney Crosby didn't disappoint. In fact, Crosby was one of the only bright spots of the game, scoring both Pittsburgh goals. On both goals, Crosby did something special. On the first goal, he sent a beautiful pass of the boards to Letang which he jammed home the rebound. On the second goal, Letang fired the puck and Crosby redirected it top shelf. Both goals were goals that only Sidney Crosby could do (sorry Connor McDavid). Crosby now has more goals than Jonathan Toews does points, in six less games (per @MadChad412).
