As the Christmas holiday passed this weekend, the Penguins picked up right where they left off before the break, which was, beating the New Jersey Devils and continuing their strong December play. While the Devils had a 2-1 lead after one, Sidney Crosby and Co. lead the comeback. Crosby tied the game 2-2 halfway through the second thanks to Conor Sheary embarrassing the Devils defense. The Penguins continued their push, where with 10.4 seconds left in the period, Justin Schultz scored to give the Pens a lead they would never relinquish. Carl Hagelin and Bryan Rust would each add to the Penguins lead in the third.
