There's an old saying that your mom most likely said to you as a kid. The saying goes "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed". I on the other hand am both mad and disappointed after the Penguins absolute dog poop performance in Game 6 against the Washington Capitals. Several of us at POA were at Game 6, and it's hard to describe how bad that was. The last playoff game I can remember being that bad was Game 5 against Tampa Bay in 2011 when the Penguins lost 8-2. For those of you wondering, Mike Rupp and Chris god damn Connor scored the Penguins goals that night, so it could be worse I guess.
The Penguins are now faced with a Game 7.
O'Halloran and Pollock are the same refs from Game One this round. So expect Capital fans to bitch about them.
To say that I, @penguins8766, love Game 7, is an absolute lie.
I don't. Its the worst.
In their history, the Pens are 5-0 in road Game 7's, which is the best among MLB, NBA, and NHL.
Matt Murray returned to the morning skate today, and will backup Marc-Andre Fleury tonight.
Speaking of Fleury, this could quite possibly be his last game in a Pittsburgh Penguins uniform.
Hes the only X-Generation player left.
Crosby came in during the X-Force season.
Expect to hear a lot dickriding towards Justin Williams and his "Mr. Game 7" mantra.
On this day in Penguins history, Nick Bonino scored the series clinching goal vs Washington.
This is probably the biggest game in Capitals history, in that sure they played Detroit in the 1998 Stanley Cup Finals, and got swept 4-0, but...in the Alex Ovechkin Era, they've never gotten past Round 2. A win here gets them past it.
Also, on this day in 2001, Darius Kasparaitis scored the series clinching goal vs Buffalo.
Lastly, its Game 7. Anything can happen. Heros are born. LETS GO PENS!!
