This afternoon the Penguins will conclude their 2017-2018 preseason schedule when the Blue Jackets come to town for a 4PM game. It's the annual 'Free Game for Kids' today, which means it is going to be pretty loud inside the arena today.
The Penguins trimmed their training camp lineup to 25 players yesterday by sending their best player on the team, Tom Sestito, back to Wilkes-Barre. Sestito's demotion means the Penguins now have 15 skaters, 8 defensemen, and 2 goalies on the current roster.
Patric Hornqvist will miss this afternoon's game because he's recovering from hand surgery. Mike Sullivan, The GOAT, said they don't want to rush Hornqvist back but he hopes he can play opening night against St. Louis on Wednesday.
No team has officially announced a lineup for today's game, so we're going to go off of what Daily Faceoff says. Warning: It's probably wrong but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
According to an article Josh Yohe wrote for The Athletic, Matt Murray thinks he has 'a lot more to give.' Deaaarrrrrrr God that's scary to think about.
Expect Matt Murray vs Sergei Bobrovsky in net today.
18,000 tickets were distributed to kids. My God. It's going to be insanely loud. Watch for the camera to show kids every 6.9 seconds.
Apparently the game was moved from 3:00PM to 4:00PM to accommodate all seven Pitt fans that are at the game today.
The Penguins are still planning to visit the White House next month and you're mad about it.
Gregg McKegg is going to be on this team opening night. My God.
Ryan Reaves killed a man last game. It was awesome.
I can't wait for someone on the Blue Jackets to make me irrationally mad today.
Brandon Dubinsky did 9/11. Speaking of him, he will be making his preseason debut today.
Jack Johnson will probably have his pocket picked a few times today, not like there's anything to take but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
