"Like sand in an hour glass, so is Brock Boeser scoring against the Penguins."
Last night the Pens came out flat, and were pretty much outplayed against the Vancouver Canucks. All you had to do was watch the first ten minutes to know that they weren't winning this one. Sure they tied it up after allowing the first goal, but when Phil Kessel skated into Sidney Crosbys broken stick, and lost the puck, you knew it was over once the Canucks made it 2-1. It was a lead that they would never relinquish. Adding insult to injury, Derrick Pouliot, who was notoriously bad with the Pens, scored a powerplay goal. This was fitting because considering he didn't do much here other than getting beat numerous times, tbt to Scott Hartnell embarrassing him last year right before Christmas.
Hartnell just scored another goal against him. I mean he must've been motivated to score against the Pens considering they gave him a video tribute. Not sure how they found any positive moments from his tenure here. The Pens did have an "ok" third period, but it wasn't much. Crosby almost scored an unreal goal after being tripped up. Final score: 5-2 Canucks. Here's to hoping for a better Friday afternoon in Boston.
Now there was a monumental moment last night, and that was when our very own @bobbles412 scored one of the most classic Penguin jerseys of all time.
*Insert Vince McMahon voice* "Thats gotta be! Thats gotta be Rico Fata!! *Rips the Door Off the Cell"
Rico Fata >> Sidney Crosby
