With a win over the Vancouver Canucks (6-5) tonight, the Penguins (5-1-2) would sweep their Western Canada road trip, going a perfect 4-0. Puck drop isn't until 10:00PM tonight so you have some time to crack some beers, take a few naps, and do whatever you please.
The Penguins are coming off an absolute ass beating of the Calgary Flames on Thursday night, defeating them by a score of 9-1. Sidney Crosby for the second time in as many games showed why he's the best player in the world, scoring an unbelievable backhand goal top-shelf past goaltender Mike Smith. Hell, the Flames were so bad even Jack Johnson was able to buy a goal. Not only did Crosby and Johnson both score, but 13 other Penguins players recorded a point or more as well.

The Vancouver Canucks may get a much needed boost to their lineup tonight. Both forwards Brock Boeser (groin) and Elias Pettersson (concussion) are expected to return. Pettersson has been out of the lineup since getting choke slammed by Panther's defenseman Mike Matheson back on October 13th while Boeser suffered a groin injury and has not played since October 22nd. Thanks to Boeser, the Canucks beat the Penguins 34 seconds in overtime back on October 16th by a score of 3-2.
Remember when you thought Sidney Crosby was washed up? TBT.
Patric Hornqvist has four goals in his last four games. I recently checked with some sources and can confirm that is good.
Mike Smith just got scored on again.
Red Dead Redemption II is a very good game and if you haven't bought it yet, I strongly recommend you do.
The Penguins power play is clicking at an astounding 35% right now.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Derek Grant and Chad Ruhwedel remain in the lineup for the foreseeable future. The Penguins looked damn good Thursday night with them in it.
Update: No Derick Brassard tonight for the Penguins. He's out with a lower-body injury.
Malkin has 15 points in 8 games (3G, 12A). That's good.
Phil Kessel has the best wrist shot in the league and this is not up for discussion.
Elias Pettersson has missed the last six games for Vancouver and is still second in points on their team. He might be good.
Matt Murray is also good, ever since he came back from that concussion he's been elite.
However, Expect DeSmith vs Markstrom in goal tonight.
'O Canada' one more time, we need it after today.
Political views aside, this has been a dark day for Pittsburgh. Here is a picture of Mr. Rodgers.
