Game 11 of the 2018-19 NHL season is here for the Penguins, and it is the the second half of the home and home series against the Islanders. The Penguins (6-2-2) currently lead the Metro Division by 1 point and currently sit in 4th place in the Eastern Conference 3 points behind Tampa Bay for 1st. New York (6-4-1) currently sits in 7th in the Eastern Conference with 13 points. Pittsburgh currently has 4 players that are averaging over a point per game, lead by Evgeni Malkin at 19 points in 10 games. Matt Murray is expected to get the nod in net, despite the rough start he had against the Islanders earlier this week. Wouldn't surprise me if Sullivan switches up and goes with Casey DeSmith, who at least stat wise, has been better then Murray this season. Pittsburgh lost this week 6-3 earlier this week to the Islanders.
Bowling Ball Berry Trotz still sucks and will fail as the Islanders Head Coach.
NYI decided to go opposite the trend in sports these days, instead of hiring a younger GM and coach, they go with old retreads.
If the Isles win tonight, they'll be 5-0-0 against Metrosexual Division teams this year lol.
NYI has 2 home arenas and a 3rd on the way...attendance still sucks.
Jack Johnson...still poor.
Kris Letang could return tonight.
There was no morning skate so we have no idea what the hell is actually going on, this is just pure speculation.
Cal Clutterbuck could return for the Isles tonight, he's missed the last two games. He sucks too.
LMAO Tom Kuhnhackl was loaned to the AHL after the first game against the Penguins. This makes me happy.
It's the regular season, who cares.
