Coming off a 5-3 victory over the lowly Ottawa Senators last night, the Penguins (28-17-6) travel to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs (30-17-3). Considering that both teams played last night, and with Toronto having played later in Detroit to due the retirement of Red Kelly's number, maybe this game might be close??
Newest editions Nick Bjugstad and Jared McCann both arrived to PPG Paints Arena last night at 6:55, and yet were still able to make it the bench by warmups.
Speaking of grit, Evgeni Malkin has none and will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury.
Both Bryan Rust and Jake Guentzel each scored two goals last night.
Teddy Blueger scored his first career goal on a play that he pretty much set up.
He forced a turnover near the Sen's blueline, fed the puck to the corner to Matt Cullen, who then passed the puck between the legs towards Blueger coming down the slot. Blueger then fired a bullet top cheese over Nilsson's shoulder.
Jake Muzzin is a Leaf and Toronto only had to give up half of their future to get him.
The Leafs have lost five of their last seven games and Toronto media is in full meltdown mode.
Steve Simmons sucks like most of the Toronto Media.
