It's time for the Penguins (32-22-7) to head back over to the worst side of the state and take on those scumbags from Philadelphia (28-26-7) in the Stadium Series. The Penguins have been off since Tuesday after they defe.....wait. Our sources are telling us that the Penguins played Thursday. And lost. To San Jose. 4-0. Oh. If there is a silver lining to all of this the Flyers are limping into tonight's game as well after losing to Montreal by like 100 the other night. We'd look up the score but the Flyers don't matter and we don't care that much. The Flyers are also starting Brian Elliott tonight for some reason. We'll probably hear about the 2017 Stadium Series roughly 100 times tonight so hopefully you and your friends don't have a drinking game for that.
We honestly have no clue what to think of the Penguins anymore. One minute they'll win three in a row and look like a legitimate Cup contender and the next they are getting spanked at home 4-0. The Penguins currently sit one point ahead of Carolina for the second wildcard spot. It's going to be a fun final quarter of the season considering the Caps and Blue Jackets have all gotten better.
As of this morning, the game is still set to be played at 8pm as originally scheduled. Naturally, the weather is trying to be just as shitty as the city that they're playing this game in.
Murray vs Elliott tonight. Expect 100 goals to be scored between both teams.
Apparently Carter Hart is hurt lmao.
Sidney Crosby will probably score 69 of those because he is the Flyers daddy.
Speaking of which, Crosby has 97 points (40G, 57A) in 65 regular season games against the Flyers lol.
Look for Patric Hornqvist to start the game alongside Crosby and Guentzel. Hornqvist hasn't recorded a point in like 13 games?
Forward #7 is probably going to be in the line up for the Pens. That just means a real hockey player is gonna sit.
Known terrorist Radko Gudas is suspended for karate chopping Nikita Kucherov in the head. Flyers fans are so happy about that because of Malkin swinging his stick and Roflolol taking that embarrassing dive.
Speaking of which, expect Malkin to have to fight tonight because you know, the code.
The Flyers are 0-2-1 in outdoor games which includes a 4-2 loss in 2017 at Heinz Field.
Do the Flyers know where in the World Cam Talbot is?
Gritty >>>>>>>>>>>. Hopefully he power bombs some Penguin fan tonight.
Rain is in the forecast for tonight so that should be fun.
Lincoln Financial Field capacity - 69,696. #NICEEEEEE
