Ah yes, POA Takeover: Buffalo. Its been a while since we last invaded an arena for a Penguins road game. If you've been following this blog over the last year, you'll recall that we visited Columbus last year, and what an experience that was.
However, its 2017, and the Pens are making a push for the Metrosexual Division title and Presidents Trophy? So with that we had to go, but in all seriousness, myself and other members of POA feel that we need to continue our tradition of going to Pens road games. So with that all said, lets get to Gameday 72: POA Takeover: Buffalo.
TV: ROOT Sports
Radio 105.9 The X
Today the Pens are in Buffalo where they look to have a cup of coffee with Disco Dan Bylsma, and layeth the smacketh down on the Sabres. <----Bad wrestling pun, but you get what I mean ......hopefully?
Heading into this affair, the Sabres are coming off a game against the lowly Detroit Red Wings last night and a West Coast road trip, whereas the Penguins are fresh off a 4-0 victory vs the Florida Panthers. So to say that this game might be hard for the Sabres will be anyones guess .<----- What a taek. Get the fire extinguishers out IMO.
As usual, whenever I write the Gameday, I don't go to Daily Faceoff because its never updated. So to say that this would be any different isn't a shock, but.......you won't be getting them.
Look for Matt Murray vs Anders Nilsson.
*Yeah about the stripes....this won't be updated as well be on our way to Buffalo*
Since it'll most likely be Matt Murray in net, look for Buffalo to score three unanswered goals on him in the first.
But like the last two times Murray has played vs Buffalo, the Pens have comeback and won.
So theres that IMO.
Evgeni Malkin is out for this one.
However, Sullivan did not rule him out of playing in Ottawa on Thursday.
A victory tonight would secure the Pens a trip to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for 11th consecutive year.
Which would be the second longest streak in franchise history.
1990-91 to 2000-01 is the longest.
Both Frank Corrado and Oskar Sundqvist have been recalled.
Connor McDavid has moved back ahead of Sidney Crosby for the Art Ross.
No word if ROR has been to a Tim Hortons lately.
Lastly, Mia Khalifa is still hot garbage.
To Buffalo We March! Go Pens!!
