It's a rematch of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals, with the Penguins traveling to San Jose to take on the Sharks. The Pens (25-20-3, 53 points) are riding a little bit of a hot streak lately as they are 6-4-0. The Sharks (24-14-6, 54 points) meanwhile are 5-3-2 in their last ten. The Pens will be without Matt Murray still as he is still away from the team due to the death of his father.
One thing to watch will be how the refs treat Malkin. After being fined $5,000 for his spear, Malkin could now face a suspension for a "dirty" play or hit. We all know how Malkin can be on the ice.
The Penguins are currently sitting in the second Wild Card spot, which also means they are the current 8th seed. With the trade deadline fast approaching, look for GMJR to wheel and deal to add more scoring weapons and to try and sure up the bottom 6.
San Jose sucks.
Expect DeSmith in net tonight.
No stripes graphic today. Get over it.
Joe Thornton had his beard ripped out by Nazem Kadri. F both of them.
Cutch is a Giant now and that makes me happy.
Could a hat trick be scored tonight by one Mr. Sidney Crosby?
The Pirates and Steelers have been playing "Hold my Beer" for one upping each other in disappointing the city of Pittsburgh, so lets hope the Pens don't join that fun...lol they will.
