Last night the Pens smoked the Washington Capitals 7-4, as their red hot powerplay continued its hot streak. They went 3 for 4 on the man advantage. Sure Ovechkin showed up like always against the Pens, but when you have one of the most overrated goalies in the league playing, it shouldn't surprise anyone that they lost. Like they do with King Nothing aka Henrik Lundqvist, the Pens have beach front property in Braden Holtbys head. Going back to March 2016, Holtby has been pulled a lot vs Pittsburgh, atleast four times including playoffs.
As for tonight, the Pens make their first trip of the season, and first match up of the year against the New Jersey Devils. This game should be exciting as the Devils aren't boring as shit anymore. They have a lot of solid young talent throughout their line up, but while all that young talent is good, their play has slipped as they've cooled off from their red hot from earlier in the season. So buckle up. #FireShero
Expect Casey DeSmith between the pipes tonight for the Penguins.
Phil Kessel is now two points of Nikita Kucherov for first place in scoring.
Evgeni Malkin could melt steel beams right now.
With an injury to Patric Hornqvist, Zach Aston-Reese has been recalled.
The Pens sit four points back of tying the Capitals for first place in the Metrosexual.
Scott Stevens >> Eric Lindros
Media fan favorite Ben Lovejoy plays for Devils if you didn't know.
Had to tell you before Bob Errey cranks that line all night.
LETS GO PENS!
