The Penguins (40-26-4) play the Rangers (31-32-7) tonight on NBCSN. The last Penguins game on NBCSN couldn't have been any more unbearable. Though the result was nice, the broadcast was nearly unwatchable. Since there are zero good football players in the city of New York, NBCSN decided to bring in Susan Sarandon to be in between the benches during the game, like whatever joke football player was there during the Pens-Flyers game last week. No joke — I had no idea who Susan Sarandon was. I still don't. Nor do I care who she is. Be sure to tune in to NBCSN tonight with either the tv muted or nails going down a chalkboard on a loop.
Also, there's a surprise at the end of this, which is even more important than anything that could possibly happen in this game tonight.
Henrik Lundqvist is still a piss-baby.
First time in a long time playing the Rangers without Rick Nash. I'm pretty happy about that, tbh.
Bryan Rust and Matt Murray both made the trip - The Penguins are in New York tonight and Montreal tomorrow before having four days off, where they will then play back-to-back because the NHL is truly terrible.
I know it's been awhile since it's been mentioned, but Henrik Lundqvist is a piss-baby.
Speaking of which, he won't start tonight. Expect Alexandar Georgiev in goal??
Malkin = NHL's third star of the week.
Update: Bryan Rust - Game-time decision
Alright, time for the surprise. With March Madness about to begin, and with the resounding success our NIT bracket didn't have last year, we've decided to make a 'NHL's Biggest Piece of Shit' Bracket. Voting will take place on Twitter @PensOfAnarchy, and will basically follow the same schedule as March Madness. We'll be tweeting out the play-in games today, and you can vote on them until tomorrow. Then, first-round voting takes place tomorrow and will last two days. So on and so forth. Feel free to print out the bracket and fill one out yourself. Anyone that fills one out and tweets it to use before tomorrow when first-round voting begins (we'll cut you some slack on the play-in games) will be entered into a pool. If anyone in that pool ends up with a perfect bracket, we'll let you write a gameday post for us before the end of the season. Without further ado, here's the bracket.
