After a thrilling 5-1 win vs the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night, the Penguins (8-8-4) travel to Boston for the first time this season to take on the Bruins (11-6-4). While the Pens looked good on Wednesday night, it could be a mirage simply because the Stars are a fairly beat up team, but then again it might not be. Will tonight's game be a continuation of Wednesday, or will be it a repeat of whats happened over most of this season?
The big news out of yesterdays practice is that Matt Murray is hurt yet again. *Insert stunned face*
Here's betting that one of his pimples popped.
As a result of Murray getting hurt, and placed on IR, Tristan Jarry has been recalled from WBS.
Jarry currently has more goals than Daniel Sprong.
Tristan Jarry will actually start tonight. Casey DeSmith has started two straight and will likely be between the pipes tomorrow when the Penguins host the Columbus Blue Jackets in their first back-to-back.
As of right now, the Pens are no longer last place in the Metrosexual Division.
Sidney Crosby looked v good Wednesday night, recording a goal and two assists.
Under Mike Sullivan, the Pens have never won in Boston, and almost all of the games have been blowouts by the Bruins. The Penguins have lost five straight at T.D. Garden.
Also, the Bruins are 7-2 this year at home.
The Bruins will be without Patrice Bergeron (upper-body) and defenseman / ogre Zdeno Chara (lower-body injury), and defenseman Charlie McAvoy (upper-body).
Wes McCauley tonight, buckle up.
Lets Go Pens
